Background,
musical influences, and other information.

Nick
is originally
from Oxford but has been in Bristol for a number of years and
played all the major venues in the area with most of the great
musicians that live and work in Bristol and Bath. He
started off at some of the smaller places where he still plays
from time to time but the last two years have been extremely
busy with his new album and gigs around the country and
abroad. Highlights include his two appearances at
Glastonbury 2010 followed by being invited back in 2011.
Nick's
promotion of his album 'Captivated' has kept him busy (details
on his solo website www.NickLangston.com
) but he still finds time to play venues local to Bristol and
Bath and always enjoys performing the classic jazz and swing
tunes at events, weddings and corporate functions where he
breathes new life into the fabulous songs of the past with his
fantastic band.
He
only works with the best people around and his band include guys
who have played at international jazz festivals, worked and
trained with the country's top performers and who can get a
smooth jazz groove going quicker that you can say 1,2,3,4!
Given that some of them have worked with stars as diverse Ella
Fitzgerald and Noel Gallagher, they certainly know what they're
doing.
Nick
is also used by respected organisations including Harvey Nichols
and Brasserie Blanc - he even managed to get Raymond's foot
tapping! In 2011 he was chosen to provide the
entertainment for the 50th anniversary of The American Museum at
a celebrity gala lunch.
